Cody and Shelly Clark

Meet Our Leadership Team

Avid Quality Care is operated by Cody and Shelly Clark. Cody is the Executive Director of Operations. Before his position with us, he was in law enforcement as a detention and police officer. In that role, he was around individuals with special needs often. Cody also has an uncle with special needs. He joined our team full-time in September 2013 and maintained his Peace Officer's commission by reserving for a local law enforcement agency through 2022. He has enjoyed the transition to Avid Quality Care, especially since he can work with his wife, Shelly, our CEO.

As CEO, Shelly Clark opened the company with Cody in 2010. She first had the chance to get to know those with IDD and a physical disabilities in the 1990s. This is when she found her true passion for this community. In high school, she interned with special education students, and then she worked in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District in their "Moving On Up" classroom. In 2006, she moved to the Denton Independent School District and continued spending time with special education students.


In 2008, Shelly was introduced to the HCS world, and she has been blessed to learn and grow every day since then. In addition to her work at Avid Quality Care, Shelly is a proud mother of two daughters, Justice and Liberty. Because Avid Quality Care is a family-owned business, the girls are active in the lives of the individuals served as well. Justice has even worked in the Dayhab/ISS - Caring Hands, and at Avid as case manager and now, in her current role, as Program Manager.
